Dalmatian soup

Description
Perfect for lunch. Sauté finely chopped onions in oil until golden, then add shredded cabbage and simmer covered over low heat. When the cabbage becomes soft, add tomato paste and garlic rubbed with salt, simmer for a minute, then pour in water (1.5–2 liters) and bring to a boil. Separately cook rice until fluffy and add it to the soup just before serving. Season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley.
