
Creamy Garlic Soup
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you enjoy the taste and aroma of sautéed garlic, you should definitely try making garlic cream soup. This is a traditional Mediterranean dish that's actually very easy to prepare at home, as it requires neither special ingredients nor advanced cooking skills. Nevertheless, the result is very tasty and fragrant. Although, it's probably better not to attend business meetings right after eating this soup :)

Cut the garlic heads in half lengthwise without peeling.

Pour olive oil into a baking dish, then place the garlic heads in it, cut side down.

Bake the garlic for about 1 hour at 160 degrees. After this time, the garlic can be peeled with just one hand motion.

Place the peeled garlic cloves halves into a large pot.

Pour the olive oil remaining in the baking dish into the same pot. Heat it up, then add the flour to the hot pot.

Quickly stirring, fry until the garlic and flour bind together.

Add a liter of water to the pot.

Add a bouquet of aromatic herbs (thyme, parsley) and simmer the soup for 20 minutes over medium heat.

After the specified 20 minutes, add some fine noodles to the pot. Stir and cook until the noodles are done.

Before serving, adjust the soup for salt and pepper, and sprinkle with fresh herbs.
