Czech soup in bread
Description
Perfect for lunch. This dish is unlikely to leave anyone indifferent. First of all, it features an unusual presentation, and second— it's delicious! The recipe for preparing Czech soup in bread is quite simple. If you couldn't find such bread rolls for soup, you can bake them yourself using your favorite yeast dough recipe. You can bake small rolls, or make "bowls" right away. To do this, wrap greased pots with the dough and bake them as you normally would bake bread, then simply cut off the lid. If your soup turns out too thick, just dilute it with cream, but remember—it shouldn't be too runny! If you decide to add garlic, it's best to sauté it minced together with mushrooms and onions. So, here's how: the soup is ready to serve.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the vegetables for the soup. Peel the onion and potatoes, wash the mushrooms. Cut all of these into small cubes.
- 2
Step 2

Put the potatoes to boil in slightly salted water.
- 3
Step 3

Sauté the mushrooms with onions in butter, then add flour at the end. Stir well and fry for 1-2 minutes. Then add the cream and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- 4
Step 4

Add the sautéed mushrooms with onions and cream to the pot with potatoes, season with salt and pepper. Add the cheese cut into pieces and cook until the potatoes are done.
- 5
Step 5

For this soup, coarse-ground flour buns or buns with bran are perfect. Cut off their tops and use a spoon to remove the crumb, but don't scrape out all the crumb right down to the crust!
- 6
Step 6

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place the bread plates inside to dry slightly.
- 7
Step 7

Using a blender, blend the soup until smooth and pour it into soup bowls. Chop the herbs and sprinkle them over the soup.
