Chalop
Description
The soup is simple and quick to prepare. For those who have not yet discovered Uzbek cuisine and don't know how to make Chalop, I offer this easy recipe. Prepare ice in advance. You can use plain water or herbal infusions made with whatever fresh greens you have on hand. 1. Mix yogurt (katyk) with chilled water and stir gently. 2. Wash fresh herbs and drain in a colander. You can use cilantro, green onion, dill, parsley, etc. Chop the herbs finely. 3. Cut the washed and dried cucumber into thin matchstick strips. 4. Wash the radish and slice it into thin strips or rounds. 5. Combine all ingredients and mix gently. 6. The classic Chalop recipe can be enriched with boiled beef and potatoes to make it more filling. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 7. Place 2–3 ice cubes at the bottom of a serving bowl, pour the Chalop over them, and garnish with a pinch of fresh herbs on top. That's it—your dish is ready to be enjoyed.
