
Borscht with sour cream and herbs

Prepare the ingredients for making borscht with sour cream and herbs.

Boil chicken broth. Rinse the chicken meat, cover with cold water, and simmer for 30 minutes over medium heat. Season the broth with salt to taste. For borscht, you can use any parts of the chicken: wings, drumsticks, or thighs. Add diced potatoes to the prepared broth and cook for 5-7 minutes.

Shred the cabbage and add it to the borscht. Cook for about 10 minutes.

Grate the beet and sauté it in a small amount of oil. Pour in a little vinegar to help the beet retain its bright color.

Add tomato paste to the beet for flavor.

Chop the onion and carrot. Cut the onion into small cubes and grate the carrot.
