A hearty and aromatic soup. There are many variations of borscht recipes. Borscht with sauerkraut cooked in vegetable oil is a very tasty dish. This borscht is prepared with beef. The sauté is made in vegetable oil, but borscht also tastes delicious when sautéed with bacon fat. Add herbs to taste; fresh tomatoes or berry juice also go very well. Serve the soup hot.
