Cheese-stuffed zrazy baked in the oven
Description
Why is this oven-baked cheese-stuffed zrazy recipe better than others? The answer is simple: I really love all dishes made with ground meat, especially zrazy, but I don't always have the time or energy to make them. Standing by the stove for a long time, frying zrazy in several batches (they don't all fit in the pan at once), and the extra cholesterol from oil—none of that appeals to me. That's why I often use this easy oven-baked cheese zrazy recipe. Cooking becomes a real pleasure because the oven does almost all the work, and the taste of these zrazy is so amazing it's hard to describe—better try them yourself!
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, prepare all the necessary ingredients: soak the bread in milk, peel the onion, finely chop the herbs and garlic, and preferably grind the meat mince through a meat grinder once again.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the onion into small cubes.
- 3
Step 3

Now, in a separate bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced herbs and garlic, soaked bread, add the egg, and season with spices and salt. I also add liquid smoke, but of course, you can choose not to use it.
- 4
Step 4

All the minced meat needs to be thoroughly kneaded.
- 5
Step 5

Wet your hands with water and shape the prepared minced mixture into small patties (I got 9 pieces). Place a piece of cheese in the center of each patty, bring the edges together, and shape into a patty.
- 6
Step 6

Place the zrazy on the oven rack with the seam side up.
- 7
Step 7

Place the zrazy in a preheated oven at 250 degrees, making sure to put an empty baking sheet under the rack to catch the dripping fat. Cook until a golden brown crust forms.
- 8
Step 8

Then flip to the other side and continue baking until fully cooked. Serve the cutlets with any side dish of your choice.
