
Winter tangerine drink
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you have leftover tangerines after a holiday feast or on regular days, simply make a vitamin-rich drink that will delight not only you but also your loved ones. You can serve it either hot or chilled, along with any baked desserts. Serve chilled.

Prepare the listed ingredients.

Blanch the tangerines with boiling water, slice one of them into rounds including the peel, peel the rest and separate into individual segments. Place the citrus slices into a saucepan or pot.

Add sugar, vanilla sugar, or a few drops of vanilla flavoring, place cinnamon sticks and star anise. If desired, instead of cinnamon sticks, use ground cinnamon—about 0.25 tsp.

Pour the water into a container and place it on the stove, turning on the maximum heat.

Bring the contents of the container to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer the drink for about 15 minutes. After that, turn off the heat, cover the container with a lid, and let it sit for another 15 minutes.
