
Grain flakes for breakfast
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. Making the flakes takes quite a bit of time, but not a lot of effort. With this recipe you will get roughly a 1.5‑liter jar of flakes, depending on their size. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

1. Mix the dry ingredients together.

2. Stir in the molasses, kefir, and butter.

3. Spread the resulting mixture into a butter‑greased baking pan measuring 22 × 32 cm. Bake in the oven at 175 °C for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool.

4. Cut into squares and crumble with your fingers. If you prefer smaller pieces, grate the squares on a cheese grater. Spread the resulting mass onto two large baking sheets. Bake at 135 degrees for 60 to 90 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until the flakes become dry. The cooking time for the flakes will depend on their size.

5. Let the flakes cool on the trays, then transfer them to storage containers. The flakes can be stored for several weeks.
