Prepare all the ingredients.

Finely chop the onion and garlic. Sauté until the onion becomes soft.

Add the sliced mushrooms. Fry them until they release their liquid.

Add the rice and sauté everything together for 2-3 minutes.

Pour in the white wine and broth, just enough to cover the rice. Cook uncovered so the liquid evaporates. When it has mostly evaporated, add more hot broth. Repeat until the rice becomes tender.

Pour hot water over the green peas and let them sit for 1-2 minutes. Then drain the water.

Separate the herb leaves from the stems and roughly chop. Blend in a blender with 2/3 of the peas and a small amount of water.

Pour the resulting puree into the rice and mix.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater, add the remaining peas. Mix once more and remove from heat.
