Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you want to treat your loved ones, make homemade marshmallows from apple puree. You can prepare them in two ways—leave them in the cold for 24 hours or bake in the oven. Both options are great, and the result will delight sweet tooths. Serve chilled.

Step 1

1. Making marshmallows with this recipe requires a bit of effort, but the result is worth it. First, soak the gelatin so it can swell and dissolve completely. Meanwhile, wash and peel the apples (cut them in half), then place them in the oven to bake at 180 degrees for about 20–25 minutes. The apples should become soft.

Step 2

2. After baking, apples should be peeled, then blended with a mixer or processed in a blender until smooth to obtain apple puree. The yield should be 250 g of apple puree. Add egg white and vanilla sugar, and continue beating.

Step 3

3. The mixture should turn out light in color. Place the soaked gelatin over heat and warm it, but do not boil. Then let it cool slightly. Continue beating the mixture until fluffy, and slowly pour in a thin stream the gelatin and the sugar dissolved in water (this will make a syrup).

Step 4

4. Now, using a special pastry bag, pipe the mixture onto a baking sheet. The mixture will resemble meringue. Leave the marshmallows in the refrigerator for about a day, and before serving, dust them with powdered sugar. You can mix the powdered sugar with starch if desired.

Step 5

5. There are other recipes for preparing this dessert as well. For example, placing the prepared marshmallows in the oven for half an hour. This will result in a mousse with a hint of apple flavor.
