Hare with apples
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Wild hare meat is very healthy, and dietitians even recommend giving it to children. However, today's recipe is better suited for adults, as it includes wine among the ingredients. The wine and apples will give the hare meat a wonderful flavor and aroma. The meat will be juicy, tender, and extremely delicious. The dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First of all, the hare meat needs to be soaked thoroughly. This will take about 12 hours. Periodically change the water to fresh.
- 2
Step 2

We cut the soaked pieces into portion-sized pieces. But don't make them too small.
- 3
Step 3

Sear the hare meat pieces in a well-heated pan with vegetable oil until a golden crust forms. Transfer the seared pieces into a pot or cauldron.
- 4
Step 4

Sprinkle with paprika, ground pepper, and herbs.
- 5
Step 5

Pour in water until it covers the meat, and simmer for about an hour and a half. You can cook it in the oven or on the stove over low heat.
- 6
Step 6

Choose firm, dense apples so they don't turn into mush. Remove the cores and cut the apples into pieces.
- 7
Step 7

Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings.
- 8
Step 8

Sauté the onion in a small amount of vegetable oil until soft. Add the onion and apples to the meat, pour in the wine, and simmer for another 30–40 minutes.

Step 9

Serve with any side dish.
