Semolina custard
Description
Semolina custard cream is very easy to prepare. By the way, in addition to coconut flakes, you can add other fillers or flavorings: cocoa, berry syrups, or chocolate. I just really like coconut flakes. For making the custard cream, you'll also need low-fat milk and real butter (not margarine). Next, see the recipe.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Dilute the semolina in milk. You will need 100 ml. The milk should be cold.
- 2
Step 2

Put the remaining milk on the fire, add sugar and vanillin.
- 3
Step 3

Add the semolina, and keep stirring.
- 4
Step 4

Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
- 5
Step 5

Then add the coconut flakes, mix thoroughly. Turn off the heat.
- 6
Step 6

Separately beat the butter with a mixer.
- 7
Step 7

When the semolina has cooled, add the butter to it and beat everything once again.
- 8
Step 8

The cream may look fluffy due to the coconut flakes, but it evens out when spread onto cake layers. The texture is uniform, and the cream itself is very delicate. This is a version of a semolina-based pastry cream.
