Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Prepare the scalded milk: pour 120 milliliters of milk into a saucepan or a small pot, place on the stove and bring to a boil.
- 3
Step 3

Add 40 grams of wheat flour.
- 4
Step 4

Quickly mix everything well with a spoon or spatula until smooth. Remove the saucepan with the mixture from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- 5
Step 5

Pour the remaining warm milk into a bowl, add the yeast, salt, and sugar. Dissolve all the ingredients. Let it sit in a warm place for 5–7 minutes to activate the yeast.
- 6
Step 6

Add the remaining flour, mix slightly with a spoon to moisten the flour.
- 7
Step 7

Add the scalded dough and knead for at least 10 minutes with a mixer or by hand until the dough becomes a smooth, elastic ball.
- 8
Step 8

My dough is ready. Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm spot for 1.5-2 hours.
- 9
Step 9

After the allotted time, the dough will at least double in size. It will become airy.
- 10
Step 10

Take the dough out of the bowl and knead it by hand on the table for a couple of minutes. Shape it into a bread loaf. Grease a ceramic baking dish with vegetable oil (bread bakes best in ceramic) and place the dough inside. Cover with plastic wrap or a towel and let it rise in a warm place for 30–40 minutes. Turn on the oven 10–15 minutes before baking, so it has time to preheat.
- 11
Step 11

The dough has risen well, bake it at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
- 12
Step 12

The bread is ready! Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
