
Salting Salmon
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. To cure salmon, you need only a small amount of spices—I used just sugar, salt, and a little ground black pepper for aroma. An exquisite fish like salmon has an unmatched taste and color, and it is very easy to prepare at home. After curing the fish, in a couple of days you will have a delicious appetizer for your table. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

Prepare the ingredients.

Mix salt, sugar, and a little black pepper in a small bowl.

Well rub the rinsed, paper towel–dried piece of salmon (boneless) with spices. Place the salmon in the container skin-side down.

Cover the container with plastic wrap or a lid, and place in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

After 24 hours, flip the salmon skin-side up and return it to the refrigerator for another 24 hours. Liquid will collect at the bottom of the container; you can then simply drain it off.

After two days, the salmon turns out lightly salted and very delicious. Slice the fish into thin pieces, cutting from the skin, and serve.
