Suitable for holidays and everyday meals alike. Pork belly is very simple to prepare, but it takes a long time. It works well as an appetizer with soups, or on its own with a slice of rye bread and a lightly salted cucumber. A simple step-by-step guide will help you make a delicious snack.

1. Thoroughly wash the store-bought or homemade pork belly, scrape the skin, then pat dry with paper towels. Cut into 2 pieces.

2. Transfer the pork belly to a cutting board and rub it with salt mixed with dried garlic.

3. Place the salted brisket in a bowl, set a weight on top, and leave it like that for two days. Then remove it and rinse thoroughly, removing any remaining salt.

4. Mix the paprika, red pepper, and chaman. Rub one portion of the pork belly with these spices. In a separate bowl, mix the black and white peppers, sugar, dried dill, coriander, and nutmeg; rub the second portion of the pork belly with this mixture.

5. Wrap the 2 portions in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 48 hours.

6. Next, remove the pork belly from the refrigerator, unwrap it, and transfer it to a storage container.
