Carrot and apple casserole
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Unfortunately, in winter the selection of fresh vegetables and fruits is not as great as we would like, so we have to make do with what is available in stores. But even from this limited selection, you can make a great number of delicious dishes, for example, homemade carrot and apple casserole. During winter, this amazing dish lifts my mood with its summery aroma and sunny orange color. By the way, this wonderful recipe for carrot and apple casserole will not only please you, but your children will also be absolutely delighted with it. 1) First, we need to peel the carrots and grate them finely. Transfer the grated carrots into a bowl, add sugar, mix well, and set aside for a short while to let the sugar dissolve. 2) While the carrots are releasing their juice, peel the apples, remove the cores, and cut the flesh into small pieces. 3) In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then pour them into the bowl with the grated carrots and sugar. Add vegetable oil, the cut apples, semolina, baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly, then pour the mixture into a baking dish (preferably silicone). Let it sit for 15–20 minutes so the semolina can absorb the liquid and swell. 4) After that, place the dish in an oven preheated to 180°C (356°F) and bake for 40 minutes. 5) Once the casserole is ready, let it cool slightly, then carefully remove it from the baking dish, dust with powdered sugar, and serve. Enjoy your meal! The finished dish can now be served.
