Casserole with chicken
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Cook the pasta in slightly salted water in advance until done.
- 2
Step 2

First, prepare the "Béchamel" sauce. To do this, melt a piece of butter in a small saucepan. Then add flour and quickly whisk it vigorously until it fully combines with the butter and turns into a small lump. Now pour in the milk and whisk energetically again. Keep the saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. When the sauce becomes fairly smooth, add a pinch each of salt, pepper, and ground nutmeg.
- 3
Step 3

If you follow the instructions exactly, there should be no lumps. However, if lumps do appear, simply strain the sauce through a sieve.
- 4
Step 4

Cut the chicken breast into slices and lightly pound with a meat mallet. Season with salt and pepper.
- 5
Step 5

Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Divide the cheese into 2 parts; add the "Béchamel" sauce to one part and mix well.
- 6
Step 6

Mix the cheese mixture with the cooked pasta and stir until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce mixture of "Béchamel" and cheese.
- 7
Step 7

Place chicken breast fillets in a single layer on the bottom of a heatproof baking dish (I find foil containers very convenient to use). Top with the pasta and cheese mixture.
- 8
Step 8

On top of the pasta, place the second half of the grated cheese.
- 9
Step 9

Bake the "Maccheese" casserole with chicken in the oven for 20 minutes (temperature — 180 degrees) until golden brown.
- 10
Step 10

The casserole is ready! Let it cool for a few minutes — then serve! Enjoy your meal!
