Cottage cheese casserole with dried fruits

60 min4 serv.21 февр. 2026 г.

Description

Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. To prepare a cottage cheese casserole with dried fruits, it's not necessary to add semolina to the cottage cheese mixture—flour is sufficient. Here's a little secret: it's better to separate the egg whites from the yolks, whip the whites, and then gently fold them into the mixture. You can use any dried fruits you like; I recommend soaking them beforehand so they become soft. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Instructions

    Step 1

First, prepare the cottage cheese mixture. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Set the whites aside for now. Mix the yolks with flour, cottage cheese, sugar, and vanilla.

Rinse the dried fruits and chop them finely, then add to the cottage cheese mixture.

Beat the egg whites and gently fold them into the cottage cheese mixture.

Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Place the cottage cheese mixture into the dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 30–45 minutes. Baking time may be longer, depending on the thickness and depth of the dish. Therefore, I always recommend checking the casserole for doneness with a toothpick, monitoring the aroma, and looking at the crust, which should be golden brown.

For a more festive presentation, you can sprinkle the ready-made cottage cheese casserole with dried fruits with powdered sugar and almond flakes.

I recommend cutting it into portion pieces when cooled; you can also decorate with nuts or the same dried fruits.
