Description
Perfect with tea or coffee. Even a student can make this colourful bake—it’s very easy and you can find all the ingredients in any kitchen. This dessert tastes good served hot or cold.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. You can use apples of any variety, and you can also add cottage cheese of any fat content.
- 2
Step 2

Crack the chicken eggs into a deep bowl and whisk with sugar and salt until light and foamy, about 3–5 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Quarter the apples, remove the cores, and rinse. Slice into thin pieces. Grease the baking dish or parchment paper with butter so the bake does not stick while cooking. Place a slice of bread, then layer apple slices on top. Continue in the same way, alternating the layers.

Step 4

Pour everything over with the beaten eggs. If you want the casserole to come out fluffier and the bread not to show through, whip 5 eggs instead of 2, or halve the bread slices.
- 5
Step 5

Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the dessert for about 20 minutes. Be sure to check for doneness with a wooden skewer, because apples release juice and the bottom of the bake may not cook through.

Step 6

When the dish is ready, remove the individual portions of the casserole from the pan and arrange them on plates. Serve with sour cream, yogurt, sweet sauce, or jam. If desired, sprinkle the dish with ground cinnamon.
