
Baked Camembert with Cranberry Sauce

Prepare the listed ingredients. Tear the bread by hand into a bowl or a ramekin.

Rinse the cranberries in water and remove the twigs, stems, and debris.

Transfer the berries into a saucepan or pot, add the sugar and salt, and pour in the water. Place the container on the stove.

Bring to a boil and pierce all the berries so they burst open. Then add black ground pepper and flour, pour in vegetable oil, and cook the mixture on the stove for about 2–3 minutes, stewing the sauce.

Place the Camembert in an ovenproof dish. Arrange the bread pieces around it. Preheat the oven to 200°C and place the dish inside for 5–8 minutes. The cheese should not melt completely; it should become soft inside, while the rind will hold it together.

Place the berry sauce in a sauceboat and remove the cheese mold from the oven.

When serving, cut off the top of the cheese and spoon the berry sauce over the croutons. Dip the croutons into the melty cheese and enjoy the dish you made yourself!
