Baked apples with pine nuts
Description
The recipe won't take much time. It's not my own—it's from a French cookbook. The book offers several recipes for baked apples with various fillings, and I was most intrigued by the pine nuts, which I happened to have at home. I prepared them—turned out absolutely amazing! Instead of pine nuts, you can fill the apples with cottage cheese, ricotta, honey, dried fruits—basically anything your heart desires. Good luck with your cooking! Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, thoroughly wash the apples and remove their cores. Lightly prick each apple on each side to prevent the skin from cracking during baking.
- 2
Step 2

Put the nuts, cinnamon, and sugar into the blender. Pulse briefly—just a little crush, not into a paste, don't overdo it :)
- 3
Step 3

Add a little lemon juice (you can substitute with lime juice) inside each apple.
- 4
Step 4

Take a baking dish, lightly grease it with butter. Place the apples in it. Fill each apple with our nut mixture.
- 5
Step 5

Cut the butter into 6 equal cubes.

Step 6

Plug each apple with a cork made of butter. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 45–50 minutes at 200 degrees until the apples are soft.

Step 7

The fragrant baked apples are ready! Serve hot.
