Baked meatballs in sour cream sauce
Description
The recipe won't take much time. You can prepare these meatballs for both adults and children, serving them with any side dish and vegetables. You can also choose any sauce to your taste. In this recipe, it's a sour cream sauce that perfectly enhances the flavor of the meat, making it more tender and juicy. I cooked this dish for my two-year-old child, so I didn't fry anything (except for preparing the sauce). Bake the meatballs for about 25 minutes at 200 degrees. Serve hot.

Step 1

1. Meatballs cook very quickly if you already have ground meat on hand. Grate the onion finely and add it to the meat, season with salt to taste, and mix in the egg. Now we need to thoroughly knead the meat mixture until it becomes uniform. Take a baking dish, shape the mixture into balls, and place them side by side.

Step 2

2. The sauce is very easy to prepare: melt the butter in a saucepan.

Step 3

3. Add a couple of pinches of flour and simmer over medium heat for about a minute, stirring constantly.

Step 4

4. Add sour cream, a little water, and salt. Mix everything until smooth, bring to a boil, and pour over the meatballs.

Step 5

5. Before pouring the sauce, grate the carrot on a medium grater and sprinkle it over the meatballs. Also chop the dill and lightly sprinkle it on top, then pour the sauce over.

Step 6

6. Place the meatballs in a preheated oven at 200 degrees and bake for 30 minutes. To keep them juicy, make sure there is enough sauce, and it should completely cover the meatballs.

Step 7

7. When they are nicely browned, remove them from the oven and let cool slightly. Meanwhile, cook the side dish. Today I decided to prepare noodles to go with them. Any porridge or mashed potatoes would work as well.

Step 8

8. Serve the baked meatballs hot with fresh vegetables or seasonal pickles.
