Baked Peaches with Ricotta
Description
A delicious appetizer for any gathering. Baked peaches are quite a popular dish. They are baked with various types of cheese: soft, hard, and mold-ripened. You can bake both fresh peaches in summer and canned peaches in winter. I have made both versions and want to say that the appetizer turns out much tastier with canned peaches than with fresh ones.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.

Step 2

Generously spread a tablespoon of ricotta on the peach halves, sprinkle everything with dried oregano.
- 3
Step 3

Transfer the peaches to an ovenproof dish and sprinkle them with grated hard cheese. Place the peaches in a preheated oven at 200°C for 7–10 minutes under the top grill. Watch them closely—the cheese should only melt slightly without running, and the peaches should warm through.

Step 4

Remove the baked peaches from the oven, drizzle them with balsamic cream, and serve immediately.

Step 5

A very tasty appetizer, both hot and when cooled.
