Baked mushrooms with minced meat in the oven
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Its taste is very original—similar to meatballs, but slightly different. These mushrooms can be served both hot and cold, making them a great picnic snack. Large mushrooms hold their shape well and look impressive on a plate. The finished dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To prepare this dish, we need to use very large mushrooms. I used these large white button mushrooms. Wash the mushrooms thoroughly and let them drain. Carefully remove the stem without damaging the cap.
- 2
Step 2

Set aside the mushroom caps. Season them with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside. Cut the separated stems into small cubes. Make sure to chop them finely so the filling doesn't fall out of the caps.
- 3
Step 3

Sauté finely chopped onion in vegetable oil.
- 4
Step 4

Add the sliced caps. Simmer over medium heat, stirring.
- 5
Step 5

Add the chicken mince. I used pre-cooked chicken breast, ground through a meat grinder, but you can also use raw mince. It's not very important. Fry the mince with the onion and mushrooms until fully cooked.
- 6
Step 6

Season the minced meat with salt and pepper. Let it cool slightly. Using a teaspoon, fill the mushroom caps with the meat mixture.
- 7
Step 7

Place the mushrooms in a baking dish with the filling side up. Grate the hard cheese on a coarse grater (it's important to use a coarse one. Finely grated cheese will burn in the oven and become similar to chips).
- 8
Step 8

Mix sour cream and tomato paste. Add a little water and whisk everything together. Add salt and spices to taste. If the tomato paste is sour, add a little sugar.
- 9
Step 9

Pour the resulting liquid over the mushrooms.
- 10
Step 10

Bake the mushrooms in the oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- 11
Step 11

Serve the baked mushrooms with minced meat from the oven.
