
Baked Chickpea Paste
Description
Soak the chickpeas in cold water for half an hour beforehand, then boil until tender. You can do this the evening before, for example. The spice blend can vary—use whichever you prefer. You can make this paste mild or spicy, for example. Serve the appetizer warm or cold, topped with sauce to taste, fresh vegetables, or simply a slice of bread. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

1. Boil the chickpeas in salted water until tender. Peel and chop the vegetables. Sauté the onion with garlic and spices in a small amount of oil. Separately, sauté the bell pepper until soft.

2. Combine the chickpeas with the vegetables. Add salt and spices.

3. Pour in the oil and water (broth), add the eggs. Process everything until smooth.

4. Grease the baking dish with butter, dust lightly with flour, and spread out the chickpeas. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 30 minutes.
