The recipe will not take much time. Cheese cakes are popular in just about the entire modern world. Many praise the cheesecakes that came to us from overseas, yet forget that in western Ukraine cheesecakes have been made for more than a century. The western Ukrainian cheese cake is perhaps the most popular and the most delicious baked good among those widely found in western Ukraine. It is simple to prepare, yet incredibly tasty and wholesome. You can serve it with tea or coffee.

    Let’s prepare all the necessary ingredients.

    Melt the butter.

    Grease the baking pan with a small amount of butter.

    Then dust the baking pan with a little flour.

    Separate the egg whites from the yolks and put the whites in the blender bowl.

    Transfer the egg yolks to a separate bowl.

    Add half the sugar to the egg yolks and mix thoroughly with a teaspoon.

    Beat the egg whites with the remaining half of the sugar until they form a thick foam.

    Using a hand blender, lightly beat the cottage cheese.

    Finally, add the egg whites to the cottage cheese mixture and mix everything thoroughly.

    Put in an oven preheated to 190°C and bake for 15 minutes, then lower the temperature to 175°C and bake for a further 45 minutes.

    Take the finished cheesecake out of the oven, remove it from the pan, and cool to room temperature. Ideally, let it rest overnight in the refrigerator—it will taste even better the next morning.
