Salmon pie

Description

Delicious baking for the whole family. The pour-over batter recipe is very successful in itself and pairs with any filling. Today, using it as an example, I’ll share how to make a pour-over pie with red fish. The bake turns out tender, juicy, and incredibly aromatic! You can make this simplest homemade pie with any salmon-family fish. You can even use fillet of any white fish—just sauté it first in a pan with a little onion. For extra juiciness I suggest adding some cheese cut into cubes, but you can replace it with eggs, onion, or cooked rice. Hearty, simple, and delicious. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Prepare all ingredients. For cooking you can use any fish you like; today I have salmon. Cut the fish into convenient medium-sized pieces.

    Step 2

Combine the sliced fish and the cheese cut into small cubes. Mix. The filling is ready.

In a deep bowl, whisk the egg with 1/3 tsp salt.

Mix everything once more until uniform. The dough is ready.

    Step 6

Grease the baking dish with oil; dust the bottom and sides with flour or semolina. Pour in about half of the batter, then spread all of the filling evenly on top. Sprinkle the filling with ground pepper. I do not add salt, because both the fish and the cheese already contain enough salt on their own.

    Step 7

    Step 7

Cover the filling with the remaining dough and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes. The top should turn golden brown.
