
Meat Aspic
Description
This recipe is for a multicooker, but you can of course use the stovetop as well. As for garnishes, it all depends entirely on your imagination. Canned peas and carrots are just one option. You can add boiled eggs, herbs, and so on. The dish will beautifully adorn your table and is sure to find its fans.

1. Wash the pork and chicken, cut them up, and place them in the multicooker pot. Pour in water (it should cover the meat) and select the "Aspic" program ("Broth" or "Stew", depending on the appliance model).

2. Add the peeled onion and carrot to the multicooker bowl. Cook them for about an hour, then carefully remove them with a slotted spoon.

3. Add salt and spices to the broth. Cook until the meat is tender (cooking time depends on the power of the multi-cooker, on average 2–3.5 hours).

4. Carefully remove the meat and shred it. Arrange it on the bottom of a serving plate. Strain the broth. Dissolve the gelatin in a glass of hot broth and pour it into the rest. Mix thoroughly.

5. Pour broth over the meat and add garnishes (carrots boiled in the broth, canned peas). When it has cooled slightly, put the aspic with the meat in the refrigerator until fully set.
