Savory puff pastry tart
Description
The recipe won't take much time. For making a savory puff pastry cake, I use one pack of ready-made dough (it doesn't matter whether it's yeast dough or not). You can replace canned pink salmon with any other fish. The cake turns out to be hearty and delicious, but somewhat labor-intensive to prepare or quite costly. It doesn't have to be made in any particular shape—this one just seemed more festive to me. See the recipe below. It can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Thaw the dough in advance and roll it out. Place it on a baking sheet moistened with water and prick it with a fork. Bake at 200°C until done (the dough will turn a nice golden color).
- 2
Step 2

Then cut the ready layers using a stencil. Mine was a heart.
- 3
Step 3

Try to make the layers as even as possible. Prepare the remaining ingredients. Open the canned fish and mash it with a fork. Spread mayonnaise on the dish and place the first layer.
- 4
Step 4

Spread the first layer with mayonnaise and grate the processed cheese on top of it.
- 5
Step 5

Cover with the second layer.
- 6
Step 6

Place the fish on top.
- 7
Step 7

Sprinkle with chopped green onions and lightly spread with mayonnaise.
- 8
Step 8

Cover with the third layer.
- 9
Step 9

Spread the cake layer with mayonnaise again, then sprinkle with grated boiled egg yolk. Place tomatoes on top (sliced into rounds or small pieces; carefully remove the tomato skins beforehand, as we will need them later). Then spread with mayonnaise once more.
- 10
Step 10

Cover with the last layer. Blanch the tomato skins with boiling water (literally for 5 seconds). The skins will curl in the opposite direction, making it convenient to shape them into roses for decoration.
- 11
Step 11

Spread the top of the cake with mayonnaise and sprinkle with grated boiled egg white.
- 12
Step 12

Slice the remaining tomatoes into rings or half-rings, spread the sides of the cake with mayonnaise, and decorate with the tomatoes.
- 13
Step 13

Form little roses from the tomato skin and use them to decorate the cake.
- 14
Step 14

Before serving, keep the ready-made puff pastry snack cake in the refrigerator to let it chill thoroughly. Then, you can write a congratulatory message on it using, for example, tomato sauce.
