
Green Onion Snack Pancakes
Description
Homemade treats for tea. These pancakes can be served warm or cooled. They are convenient to take to work or on a picnic, for example. Serve with sour cream or your favorite sauce. If the dish is for adults only, add a bit of hot pepper to the batter—it will be delicious and pleasantly spicy. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

1. Melt the butter, beat the egg, and finely chop the washed and dried onion. In a separate bowl, combine the sifted flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.

2. Heat a teaspoon of vegetable oil and sauté the onion for a couple of minutes.

3. Add the egg, oil, onion, and grated cheese to the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly, then pour in the milk.

4. Place the batter onto a heated skillet with vegetable oil using a spoon, and fry the pancakes on both sides until golden brown.
