Step 1
1. First, the sausages need to be cut properly — the success of our New Year's appetizer depends on it. So, first cut the sausage in half, slicing straight perpendicular to the table. Then trim the edges on both sides at an angle, at 30 degrees — no more than 40.

2. Take two outer halves and join them at the diagonal cuts so they fuse together. Pierce both halves with the tip of the skewer, as shown in the illustration.

3. All that remains is to pipe the edges of the felt boot with mayonnaise. To do this, spoon the mayonnaise into a pastry bag or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off. A tiny parsley leaf attached to the mayonnaise “fur” completes our creation.
