Appetizer
Description
This appetizer comes together quickly and easily. I really love all kinds of original appetizers on holiday tables and at feasts in general — as I see it, it's they, not the main dishes, that shape the impression guests take away. That's why beautiful, eye-catching appetizers on the table are my specialty. In this case, I suggest making the "Carrot" appetizer — original more than delicious. Although, of course, if you make the filling tasty, the appetizer will be splendid too. Nevertheless, the main thing here is the appearance. And it is very original and unusual. Best of all, this beauty is quite simple to prepare, without any special hassle.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Thaw the puff pastry.
- 2
Step 2

Cut our dough into 6 long strips, rolling each one into a rope.
- 3
Step 3

Take a special metal cone and wrap it with our dough. I recommend not going all the way to the edge of the cone—otherwise it will be difficult to remove the dough from the cone later.
- 4
Step 4

Color the dough with orange food coloring (you can skip this step). Bake the dough for 15 minutes at 180–200 degrees.
- 5
Step 5

We take our baked beauty out of the oven and let it cool. Remove the cones.
- 6
Step 6

Put our filling (I made the filling unsweetened and added chicken salad) into a cellophane bag and make a small hole in one corner — so it’s easier to fill our dough.
- 7
Step 7

Fill the cones with filling.
- 8
Step 8

For extra beauty, insert one lettuce leaf into each cone. The "Carrot" appetizer is ready. Serve chilled.
