Appetizer
Description
A delicious appetizer for any gathering. A traditional dish loved by many in a completely unexpected interpretation — this is my version. It can be served warm or chilled.

Step 1

1. First, wash the potatoes and, with the skins on, put them on to boil. Meanwhile, dice the herring into small cubes and add a little herbs. You can sprinkle with vinegar to taste.

Step 2

2. Peel the cooked potatoes and immediately mash them into a puree while they are still hot. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix.

Step 3

3. Grate the beets on a grater and place them in a deep bowl. Add water and lemon juice. Mix gently. Put the bowl in the microwave for 5 minutes on maximum power. Afterward, let the beets cool, drain them in a colander, and save the juice.

Step 4

4. And now, when all the ingredients are ready, it's time for the most interesting part. Take a little puree in your palm, place a spoonful of filling in the center, and carefully seal everything together. Shape the piece like a strawberry. Gently dip it in beet juice and place it on a plate. Let it sit for about half an hour so the juice can dry.

Step 5

5. Using a brush, brush the "strawberries" with vegetable oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds. All that's left is to garnish everything with greens before serving. Beautiful, isn't it?
