
Egg Appetizer in Bacon

This recipe won't take much time. I'll show you another festive appetizer option—it turns out very tasty, and the aroma is simply gorgeous! These are boiled quail eggs wrapped in dry-cured smoked bacon and fried in oil. Shall we take a look? The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

1. Boil the quail eggs and let them cool. My bacon is cut into wide strips, so I cut each one in half lengthwise. If yours is thin, there’s no need to cut it—just use as many strips as you have eggs.

3. Wrap each egg in a strip of bacon.

4. Heat the vegetable oil. Place the eggs in bacon so the bacon edge is on the bottom and fries first; that way the egg won’t unwrap. Then flip and fry on all sides.

5. Place the appetizer on lettuce or spinach leaves and garnish with herbs.

6. Before serving, drizzle with your favorite sauce. One of the simplest options: mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard.
