Fried Egg Appetizer
Description
A delicious appetizer for any gathering. If you take a look at ten average holiday tables in Russia, nine of them will have practically the same dishes and appetizers. I suggest getting creative and being that one family out of ten that approaches preparing a holiday spread with imagination. A fried egg appetizer—that's what I suggest using to dress up your holiday table. I'm sure none of your guests has tried anything like this. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.
Instructions

Step 1

Put the eggs on to boil until hard-boiled. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce — mix sugar, soy sauce, and the juice of half a lemon.
- 2
Step 2

Place the resulting sauce over heat and simmer on low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- 3
Step 3

In a suitable sauté pan or saucepan, heat 100 ml of oil, add onion sliced into rings, and fry until golden brown. Then remove the onion with a slotted spoon and transfer it to a plate.

Step 4

Peel the hard-boiled eggs, cool them to room temperature, then fry them in the same oil in which the onion was just fried. Fry for 2–3 minutes, until the eggs develop a firm crust.

Step 5

All that's left is to plate it beautifully — cut the eggs into 4 pieces and arrange them on the sautéed onions, drizzle everything with the sauce we made, and sprinkle with herbs. If desired, add a little hot pepper. Done! :)
