
Pickled Beets
Description
Winter preserve for home canning. Boil the beets until tender, then peel. Pack in layers with garlic into a jar. Pour boiling brine over them and sterilize for 12 minutes. Seal the jars. Turn upside down until completely cool, then store in a cool place. You will need about 250–300 ml of brine per jar. The preserve is ready for winter storage.

Prepare the ingredients. Wash the beets and boil them in their skins until tender, about 1 hour. Let cool and peel.

Cut it into large pieces.

Place part of the beets on the bottom of a sterile jar, then add the garlic.

And continue alternating layers of beets and garlic all the way to the top.

Prepare the brine. Bring the water to a boil, add the sugar and salt. Turn off the heat, pour in the vinegar—the brine is ready.

Fill the jar to the very top.

Place in boiling water and sterilize for 12 minutes from the moment the water in the pot comes to a boil. Then seal with a jar wrench.
