Tongues made from ready-made puff pastry

Description
Delicious pastry for the whole family. Prepare these flaky "tongues" for breakfast with tea, or pack them for your kids to take to practice or for a walk in the park. Although they're made with puff pastry, they're quite filling and make a great substitute for sandwiches or a pack of crackers. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

We will need 2 sheets of ready-made yeast puff pastry, a little sugar, and an egg for brushing.

Slightly thaw the dough and cut it with a sharp knife into pieces about 4 by 6 cm.

Brush each piece with egg and sprinkle with a small amount of sugar.

Bake the tongue pieces in the oven for 15 minutes. Serve slightly cooled with aromatic tea.
