Japanese skewers
Description
Small kebabs can be served with any side dish: porridge, pasta, mashed potatoes, or fried potatoes. If you're going on a picnic, marinate the meat in advance right in a plastic bag, and then thread it onto skewers once you're outdoors.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. You can substitute the soy sauce with another sauce, and the paprika with chicken seasoning.
- 2
Step 2

Rinse the turkey or chicken fillet under water, remove the tendons and membranes, then cut into long strips or slices no thicker than 0.5 cm.
- 3
Step 3

Dry the slices with paper towels and place them in a deep container. Pour in the soy sauce.
- 4
Step 4

Add salt, ground black pepper, and paprika. Optionally, use other spices or seasonings. Thoroughly mix all the contents of the container so that the meat absorbs the spices. Let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour, but do not refrigerate!
- 5
Step 5

Then thread each slice of meat onto a wooden skewer, trying to arrange the meat in waves. Preheat a grill or electric grill, brush the grates or plates with vegetable oil, and place the skewers on them. Grill for just 2-3 minutes on each side. If the grill has a lid, cook for only 2-3 minutes total. You can also cook these kebabs on a grill pan.
- 6
Step 6

Place the hot skewers on a plate and brush with the remaining marinade. Fry for another minute.
- 7
Step 7

Serve the Japanese skewers hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
