Japanese rice with beef and cheese
Description
Taco rice, or "Takoraisu" as it's known in Japan, is a popular dish invented in Okinawa in the 1960s. A chef took the taco flavor—popular among American military personnel stationed in Okinawa—and combined it with rice, a staple of the Okinawan diet. Since then, this dish has become one of Okinawa's most famous and beloved specialties.
