Chicken Yakitori

Description

The appetizer is prepared quickly and simply. Recipe for a Japanese appetizer made from fried pieces of chicken. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

   Sauce preparation: In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, sugar, flour, and sake (white wine may be substituted). Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 more minutes until the sauce has reduced by one third. Set aside.

   Thread the chicken pieces and green onions onto bamboo skewers. Generously coat with sauce on all sides. Grill for 5–10 minutes on a preheated grill.
