
Egg liqueur
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. Delicious homemade alcoholic beverages are a great alternative to store-bought ones. Homemade egg liqueur differs from the commercial variety by having a smoother taste. This alcoholic drink is perfect for any celebration or gathering with friends. You can use strong vodka (about 40% alcohol) or a milder one. Serve chilled.

1. I wash the eggs, separate the yolks from the whites, use only the yolks, put them into a bowl, add powdered sugar and vanilla. I place a saucepan on the heat and set the bowl with yolks on top. I whisk over a double boiler for about ten minutes, until a fluffy and smooth mixture forms.

2. Without removing the bowl from the double boiler and continuing to whisk, I add the cream (33% fat content) to the resulting mixture.

3. Finally, I pour the vodka into the egg-cream mixture and continue stirring.

4. Remove the finished egg liqueur from the water bath, cool it to room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator until completely chilled.

5. I pour the cooled egg liqueur into a bottle or jug. To serve, I portion it out and enjoy.
