Egg in a sausage shaped like a heart
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Originally, this recipe for heart-shaped fried eggs in sausages was intended for breakfast on Valentine's Day, but I like it so much that I cook it much more often than once a year—not only for my husband, but also for myself. Why not? This egg dish takes only minutes to make, and the good mood it brings lasts all day long. So I recommend you not to wait for a special occasion—surprise your loved one anytime and prepare heart-shaped fried eggs in sausages at home. The finished dish is ready to serve.
Instructions

Step 1

First, we carefully cut the sausage lengthwise, but not all the way through—leaving about 1 centimeter at the top intact.

Step 2

Now bring the ends of the sausage together to form a heart shape, and secure the ends with a toothpick.

Step 3

Next, we heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan and sear the sausage heart on one side. Then we flip it over, carefully crack an egg into the center, season with salt, and sprinkle the egg with ground pepper. Cook the omelet over low heat, covered, until the egg white and yolk are fully cooked. If some of the egg white spills over the edge of the heart shape, don't worry—any excess can simply be trimmed off later.

Step 4

Transfer the scrambled eggs to a plate and call your loved one to breakfast. Enjoy your meal and have a wonderful mood!
