Vietnamese-Style Eggs
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. Vietnamese-style eggs are not only a great breakfast but also an excellent appetizer! They cook quickly, turn out tasty and beautiful! So, let’s make Vietnamese-style eggs! 1. Press the garlic using a garlic press. 2. Finely chop the onion. 3. Put the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Then add the minced garlic, onion, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Season with salt and mix the contents of the saucepan thoroughly. 4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Pour 1 tablespoon of sugar into the hot oil. Heat until the sugar turns a brownish-red shade, then add 2 tablespoons of water and mix well. 5. Add the resulting caramel mixture to the eggs. 6. Place the saucepan with the eggs over heat and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes after it comes to a boil. 7. When the eggs are cooked, carefully remove them from the saucepan and gently crack the shells with a towel so small cracks form. Put the eggs back in the saucepan and simmer over low heat for another 10 minutes. 8. Cool the finished eggs, peel them, and slice into wedges. Arrange on a plate and drizzle with the marinade they cooked in. Serve at the table. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.
