Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients.

Step 2

Choose a high-quality avocado with a slightly soft texture. When pressed, the fruit should not spring back but should yield slightly. The skin should not have any dark spots. Cut it in half vertically and twist the halves in your hands—they should separate easily. Use a teaspoon to remove the pit without damaging the avocado flesh. Place both halves into a baking dish.

Step 3

Carefully place one quail egg into each indentation of the fruit. If the avocado is large, use two eggs. When using chicken eggs, first crack them into a small bowl or ramekin, then gently spoon the yolk and a small amount of the white into the avocado. Do not crack a whole chicken egg directly into the avocado half—it will spill over into the baking dish.

Step 4

Season the dish with salt and pepper. Do not use large dried spices, as they will burn during baking. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

Step 5

Place the dish in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, until the eggs are cooked. Turn off the oven and carefully remove the pan from the appliance. Let the avocado halves cool slightly.

Step 6

Place them on a plate and serve warm, remembering to brew a delicious and aromatic tea or coffee.
