Eggs Stuffed with Pâté

60 min4 serv.21 февр. 2026 г.

Description

Perfect with the table and with drinks. You can make pâté-stuffed eggs at home in less than half an hour—if you already have ready-made pâté. For a tastier dish, use homemade pâté. You can add a little fresh dill to the filling—this will make it more piquant. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

Instructions

    Step 1

    1. I really love making this dish in a hurry (if you have ready-made pâté on hand), but it tastes better with homemade pâté. For that, you can boil chicken liver—it takes no more than 20 minutes—and purée it in a blender with fried onion and carrot. If you don’t have time for that, use store-bought pâté. Fresh dill adds a nice touch, but that’s optional.

    2. Boil the eggs and cool them in cold water. Cut in half and remove the yolks.

    3. Put the yolks and pâté in a bowl — this will be our filling.

    4. Now finely chop the dill and add the mayonnaise. Mix everything thoroughly.

    5. You can use a blender to make the mixture smooth and uniform. Many people prefer to mash it by hand with a regular fork.

    6. Stuff the eggs and serve. The whole thing took us no more than half an hour. This appetizer works as a standalone dish (at a buffet or on a holiday table) or can be served with a side.

    7. I decided to cook potatoes and serve them with eggs. The dish turned out light yet filling.
