Berry cocktail with a mint base
Description
A berry cocktail with white sparkling wine is prepared using a compote made from mint sprigs and apple. This is a very delicious, refreshing drink perfect for parties on hot days. You and your guests will definitely enjoy it. If you're preparing it for children, you can replace the wine with soda or mineral water, or simply make extra mint compote. Ice cubes can be substituted with any frozen berries. The cocktail can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator—the longer it sits, the more infused it becomes with the fresh berries. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the required ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Mint sprigs need to be washed and covered with water.
- 3
Step 3

Add apple slices and sugar to taste. Cook for three minutes. Cool completely.
- 4
Step 4

Pour the compote into a jar, add wine to taste, or replace it with sparkling water.
- 5
Step 5

Cut the strawberries in half. I froze the cherries for 30 minutes, but this is not necessary if you're adding ice cubes to the drink. Cut each orange slice into 4 pieces.
- 6
Step 6

Place all the berries and orange into the jar with the mint compote. Add another sprig of fresh mint.
- 7
Step 7

Pour in the ice cubes. Close the jar with a lid and mix well. Do not fill the jar completely to make mixing easier.
- 8
Step 8

Rub the rim of the cocktail glass or tumbler with a cherry or strawberry and dip it into sugar. Pour the cocktail into the glasses.
