Berry basket
Description
For the filling, you can use not only fresh but also frozen berries. If you don't have any at all, you can use jam or fruit preserve, although fresh berries are definitely the tastiest. This recipe yields 10–11 small pastries—enough for a small gathering. They are quick to prepare and make an excellent option if guests arrive unexpectedly.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Rub the sugar with the margarine and add the egg yolk. Mix well.
- 2
Step 2
Add the flour and baking soda. Knead the dough. The dough should be quite soft.
- 3
Step 3
Sprinkle the table with flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of no more than 5 mm.
- 4
Step 4
Cut out circles from the dough equal in size to the muffin tin molds. Make half of the circles slightly larger to fit the bottom, and the rest slightly smaller for the lid.

Step 5
Next, without greasing the molds, place the dough into the bottom, shaping the edges to form rims, then add the filling on top. If the berries are watery, sprinkle them with starch. Cover with the second piece of dough. Carefully press the edges together with a toothpick. Make small holes in the center of each "basket" using a toothpick.

Step 6
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and bake the "baskets" for 20 minutes.
