Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Mustard powder can be purchased at a store or market.
- 2
Step 2

Pour the mustard powder, sugar, and salt into a deep container, jar, or food storage container. Use enough sugar so that the mustard turns out spicy in taste.
- 3
Step 3

Mix all the dry ingredients together. Boil water in a kettle and pour it into the container in parts, immediately whisking the mustard with a whisk or fork.
- 4
Step 4

Bring the mustard to the desired consistency using boiling water, then add vinegar and vegetable oil. Keep in mind that mustard will thicken slightly as it matures. Mix everything carefully to avoid burning your mucous membranes.

Step 5

Place the hot, soaked mustard into a jar or food container, cover with a lid, and let it steep at room temperature for 24 hours. Within 1–2 days, the mustard will become strong and pungent, but after that, the sharpness will gradually decrease. Serve it at the table in a sauce dish or small bowl.
