Description

Winter preserve at home. So, let’s get started on making the preserve. I’ll warn you about the measurements right away. First, if you want to make more apples, of course, go ahead. Just remember: for 1 liter of water — 0.5 tsp citric acid. For 1 kg of apples — 2 tbsp sugar. 1. Wash the apples, cut them, and remove the seeds. 2. Dissolve the citric acid in a liter of water. 3. Pour the citric acid solution over the apples. This is done so the apples don’t darken. 4. Prepare the jars. They need to be washed and sterilized. 5. Drain the water from the apples. 6. Sprinkle them with sugar and mix. 7. Pack the apple pieces into the jars. 8. Seal the jars and place them in hot water for 30 minutes. 9. Apples prepared this way in their own juice can be stored safely in a sealed jar at room temperature. You can open them no sooner than two days later. Once opened, it’s best to keep the jar in the refrigerator for no more than three days.
